About Us: Sharing Your Love for AnimalsOur Veterinarian: Dr. Barbara Zehner
Our veterinarian, Dr. Barbara Zehner has enjoyed being a pet owner her entire life. In Junior
High, when her Labrador Retriever developed epilepsy, it was she that administered the medication. She realized that she loved caring for pets whether they were sick or well and would always want to be surrounded with them. To support her desire to own pets, Dr. Zehner pursued a career in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zehner graduated from Colorado State University in 1985 with the professional degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zehner's Journey to Missouri
Dr. Zehner's care for animals took her from Colorado to Boulder City, Nevada with her husband, Kevon, a pilot for American Airlines™. After five years in Nevada, they moved to Cedar Hill, Missouri, where Dr. Zehner founded Mobile Animal Hospital, a full-service animal clinic on wheels. She operated this practice in the Jefferson County and South St. Louis areas until 2002.
The History of the Country View Animal Clinic
When Dr. Zehner's family decided to build a new home on Byrnesville Road in Cedar Hill, Kevon built a base clinic at their residence and they sold the mobile unit. Dr. Zehner continues to offer house calls
as part of her practice, however. The clinic was renamed Country View Animal Clinic because, as you will see when you visit us, the view from the clinic is spectacular. Our Dedicated Assistant: Greta Milne
Greta Milne met Dr. Zehner through her church and their older daughters. Greta has a background in the medical field and worked at St. Luke's hospital. After Dr. Zehner helped "pawspice"
Greta's cat during his kidney failure, Greta joined the clinic in 2000 and became a full time assistant in 2003.
Greta came to love, not only working with the animals, but also the interaction with their owners.Experiencing Our Animals Together
